Watch the video !CHAKLI STICKS Ingredients4 cups rice1 cup split skinless black gram (urad dal)1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powderSalt to taste2 tablespoons butterOil for greasing and deep-frying Method1. Dry roast rice and black gram separately. Remove from heat, cool and grind together to a fine powder. Transfer in a bowl.2. Add chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and butter and knead well. Add ½ cup water and knead to a soft dough.3. Grease a chakli press with some oil and fill in the dough.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Press in chakli strips and deep-fry till golden brown.
