Method.1. Clean chana dal; soak in lukewarm water for 5-6 hours. Once soaked well, put dal in sieve, drain extra water.2. Take a pressure cooker add soaked chana dal, milk, water. Cook until 4 whistles.3. Remove the cooked chana dal in a bowl and keep aside until cool.4. Once the chana dal mixture is cool; grind it till smooth paste.5. In a kadai add ghee, chana dal paste and cook on medium flame for 15-20 mins.6. Add sugar and cook until sugar melts.7. Now add crushed saffron, cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio and khoya. Mix and cook on low flame.8. Take a silicon mold put chopped nuts and crushed saffron and pour the burfi mixture and press well. Keep it aside until cool.9. Once it is set de-mold the chana dal burfi and garnish with silver vark. Cut it into diamond shape.10.
