Lip smacking pav bhaji loaded with cheese. A must try !CHEESY PAV BHAJIIngredients 2 tablespoons grated processed cheese + for topping½ medium raw banana, boiled, peeled and grated3½ teaspoons pav bhaji masala4 brown pavs1 tablespoon oil1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)1 medium green capsicum, finely chopped¾ cup chopped fresh coriander leaves + as required¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1½ teaspoons red chilli powder1 teaspoon garam masala powderSalt to taste ½ cup boiled green peas3-4 medium tomatoes, finely chopped1 tablespoon butterMethod1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and when it changes colour, add capsicum and sauté for 2 minutes.2. Add ½ cup coriander leaves, raw banana, turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala powder, 2 teaspoons pav bhaji masala and salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.3. Add green peas and tomatoes and mix. Add 3-4 tablespoons water, mix, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. 4. To prepare masala, mix together ½ teaspoon chilli powder, 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala and salt in a bowl. 5. Blend the cooked tomato mixture using an electric hand blender into coarse mixture. 6. Add butter, remaining chilli powder, garam masala powder and pav bhaji masala, mix and cook for 5 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons cheese, mix, cover and cook for 1 minute. 7. Put pav bhaji in a serving bowl, top with some cheese and garnish with a coriander sprig. 8. To prepare masala pav, slit each brown pav with one side intact.9. Heat some butter on a non-stick tawa. Put some prepared masala and mix. Put 1 teaspoon coriander leaves and mix. Open the slit pav and place on top of butter mixture and toast from both sides till well coated.
