Frankies are a perfect snack and are a popular street food all across the globe, but Mumbai has it's special version. Try this Chicken Frankie to know more!CHICKEN FRANKIEIngredients250 grams boneless chicken, cut into thin strips Refined flour (maida) dough as required2 tablespoons oil + as required1-2 green chillies, finely chopped2-3 teaspoons vinegar1 medium onion, sliced 1½ teaspoons red chilli powder1½ teaspoons chaat masala 1 teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur) ½ teaspoon black salt Salt to taste ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon cumin powder2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste 1 large tomato, finely chopped1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves 3 eggs 1 medium onion, finely choppedMethod1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. 2. Mix green chillies and vinegar in a bowl. 3. Add sliced onion to hot oil, mix, cover and cook till golden brown. 4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls. Apply some oil on each dough ball.5. To prepare spice mix, mix together chaat masala, dried mango powder, black salt, salt and ½ teaspoon chilli powder in a bowl.6. Add turmeric powder, remaining chilli powder to cooked onion and sauté for 1 minute. Add coriander powder, cumin powder and sauté. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. 7. Add tomato, salt and coriander leaves, mix, cover and cook till soft and the oil separates. Add chicken strips, mix, cover and cook for 5 minutes.8. Heat a non-stick tawa. 9. Lightly flatten the dough balls with your fingers and roll out into thin discs. 10. Place each disc on hot tawa and roast from both sides till half done. Transfer on a plate. 11. Add ¼ cup water to chicken mixture, mix, cover and cook till the mixture boils. 12. Break eggs in another bowl. Add salt and beat well. 13. To prepare one Frankie, heat ½ teaspoon oil on the same hot non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of beaten eggs in the center, place one roasted roti and cook till the egg is fully done. Flip and cook till the roti is fully done from downside, pressing lightly. 14. Put some chopped onion and chicken mixture in the center of prepared egg-roti. Drizzle some chilli-vinegar, sprinkle some spice mix and roll tightly. Wrap one side of the each chicken Frankie with an aluminium foil. 15.
