A flavourful chicken preparation to spice up your dinner table!CHICKEN JALFREZIIngredients300 grams boneless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch pieces1 lemon, cut into half1 tsp turmeric powder1½ tsps garam masala powder1½ tbsps ginger-garlic pasteSalt to taste2 tbsps oil1 tsp cumin seeds1 medium onion, finely chopped1 large tomato, finely chopped1 tsp coriander powder1 tsp red chilli powder2 tbsps yogurt1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)1 tbsp cashew nut paste1 medium tomato, sliced1 medium onion, sliced1 medium capsicum, sliced Coriander leaves for garnishMethod1. In a large bowl, add chicken, squeeze ½ lemon and sprinkle turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, ½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste, salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the colour change. Add onion and sauté till golden brown.3. Add remaining ginger-garlic paste and mix well. Cook for 1 minute. Add tomato, sauté well and cook till pulpy. 4. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, and remaining turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.5. Add yogurt and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes6. Add the chicken and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Crush and add kasuri methi and mix well. Add cashew paste and mix well.7. Add sliced tomato, onion and capsicum. Mix well.8. Squeeze the remaining lemon and mix well. Add remaining garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat.9.
