Chicken Nuggets | Monsoon Magic | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

An all-American recipe, these Chicken Nuggets are a delicious fast food dish. Being a finger-food, these can be used as a Tiffin treat as well!

CHICKEN NUGGETS

Ingredients

400 grams chicken mince
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1½ teaspoons onion powder
1½ teaspoons garlic powder
¼ cup milk
3 white bread slices
2 eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup cornflakes
Oil for deep-frying
Fresh parsley leaves for garnishing
Dip
2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1½ tablespoons tomato ketchup
Few drops of tabasco sauce

Method

1. Mix together chicken, salt, parmesan cheese, chilli powder, crushed peppercorns, onion powder and garlic powder in a bowl.
2. Put milk in another bowl.
3. Trim the edges of bread slices and add the slices to the milk and soak for 30 seconds.
4. Squeeze out the excess milk from bread slices and add to chicken mixture and mix well.
5. Break eggs in another bowl. Add salt and beat well.
6. Put cornflakes on a plate and crush. Add panko breadcrumbs and salt and mix well.
7. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
8. Divide the chicken mixture into equal portions. Dip each portion in beaten eggs, coat with cornflakes-breadcrumbs mixture and shape into nuggets.
9. Put the nuggets in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
10. To prepare dip, mix together mayonnaise, tomato ketchup and tabasco sauce in a bowl.
11. Garnish with parsley leaves and serve hot with dip.
