Chicken Shashlik | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Marinated chicken cubes lined up with onion and capsicum cubes in satay sticks cooked on tawa.

CHICKEN SHASHLIK - (Serves - 4)

Ingredients

250 grams boneless chicken, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 large onion, cut into cubes and layers separated
1 large red capsicum, cut into cubes
1 large green capsicum, cut into cubes
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
White pepper powder to taste
½ tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup fresh cream
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method

1. Mix together turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, cream and salt in a bowl.
2. Add chicken, onion, red and green capsicum and mix well. Skewer alternatively onto satay sticks.
3. Heat some oil on a non-stick tawa. Place the sticks on it and cook till fully done.
4. Serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
