Marinated fish pieces deep fried and served with spicy tangy chilli sauce.CHILLI LIME FISHIngredientsJuice of 1 lemon2 boneless fish fillets, cut into pieces2 cucumbers, with skin2 carrots, peeledOil for deep-frying1 tsp soy sauceSalt to taste1 tsp ginger-garlic paste1½ tsps refined flour⅓ cup Thai sweet red chilli sauce2 tbsps red chilli sauce2 tsps fish sauce2 tsps sesame oil3-4 fresh basil leaves1 fresh red chilliFew fresh coriander sprigsMethod1. Thinly slice cucumbers and carrots lengthwise using a slicer.2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.3. Take fish pieces in a bowl. Add soy sauce, salt, ginger-garlic paste and refined flour and mix well.4. To make dressing, combine Thai chilli sauce, red chilli sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix well till a homogenous mixture is formed.5. Take cucumber and carrot slices in another bowl. Add some dressing and mix well.6. Finely chop basil leaves, red chilli and coriander sprigs together.7. Deep-fry fish pieces in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.8. Place cucumber-carrot salad on a serving platter. Put fried fish on one side, drizzle remaining dressing on top, garnish with chopped basil-chilli-coriander and serve immediately.
