Chocolate Granola Homemade Granola Recipe

Chocolate Granola Making your own granola at home is cheaper and healthier than most supermarket options. This chocolate version is perfect for kids who love chocolately cereal for breakfast but it's really low in sugar.

This big batch will fill a whole large jar and will keep fresh for a couple of weeks.

For toddlers and young children be sure to break the nuts into smaller pieces before making baking.

Ingredients:
120g mixed nuts
220g porridge oats
50g dessicated coconut
20g mixed seeds
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp coconut oil
4 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
60g dried fruit

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 160c and line two large baking trays with parchment paper.
2. Add the nuts, oats, desiccated coconut, seeds and cocoa powder to a large bowl and mix.
3. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave or in a small saucepan on the hob and then add to the bowl, along with the honey and vanilla extract.
4. Mix well until all the ingredients are well coated.
5. Divide the mixture between the two trays and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, stirring twice during that time.
