Chocolate Semolina Cookies | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

These semolina chocolate cookies get extra richness and flavor, yet are now healthier than their other counterparts!

CHOCOLATE SEMOLINA COOKIES

Ingredients

½ cup dark chocolate chips
100 grams semolina (suji/rawa)
100 grams butter
50 grams castor sugar
100 grams refined flour (maida)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon green cardamom powder
¼ cup milk
Icing sugar for dusting

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180̊ C.
2. Whisk butter in a bowl using an electric beater till smooth. Add castor sugar gradually and whisk well till light.
3. Sift together flour, baking powder and cardamom powder. Add dark chocolate chips, semolina and milk and fold well to form a stiff dough
4. Put spoonful of the dough on a baking tray. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
5. Dust icing sugar on top and serve.
