Any visit to coastal region is incomplete without tasting this coastal style fried pomfret.http://www.vahrehvah.com/coastal-style-fried-pomfretIngredients:Red chillies 4-5 NumbersBlack peppercorns 1/2 TeaspoonsGreen cardamom 2-3 NumbersCloves 4-5 NumbersCardamom piece 1-2 NumbersCoriander seeds 1 TeaspoonsFennel seeds 1 TeaspoonsOnion 1 TeaspoonsGinger pieces 4-5 NumbersGarlic cloves 5-6 CloveTamarind (lime size) 1 NumbersVinegar 1 TablespoonsTurmeric powder 1 PinchSugar 1 TeaspoonsSemolina 1/4 CupAll-purpose flour 1/4 CupDirections:1.In a mixie blender, add in all the spices, tamarind, turmeric pd, vinegar, sugar, onion and grind to a paste. Transfer the mixture in a bowl, add some salt and mix well. 2.With help of the knive, from the center, cut the fish into two halves. Make some light gashes vertically and horizontally over the pomfret fish. 3.Apply the masala paste well on the inner sides of the fish. 4.In a plate, take some semolina, add all-purpose flour, pinch of salt, mix and sprinkle over the masala coated fish and tap so that the flour sticks to the masala.
