Corn And Cheese Balls | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Deep fried balls which has a creamy corn and cheese mixture. You cannot eat just one.

CORN AND CHEESE BALLS

Ingredients

1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels, crushed
2 cups grated processed cheese
Oil for deep-frying
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon refined flour (maida)
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Tomato ketchup for serving

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Mix together crushed sweet corn kernels, processed cheese, ginger, salt, chilli powder, garam masala powder, green chilli, cornstarch, baking soda, refined flour, crushed peppercorns and coriander leaves in a bowl.
3. Dampen your palms with some water, divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls.
4. Put the prepared balls in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
