Corn Methi Kebab

Suggested serving size for 100 calories: 2 tikkis

Corn Methi Kebab is simple to make and delicious to taste. This starter is sure to win praises for you in a healthy or low cal dinner party.

Corn Methi Kebab

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 12 minutes
Makes 8 kebabs

Ingredients

1 cup boiled and coarsely crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
½ cup chopped fenugreek leaves (methi)
½ cup boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
½ tsp ginger paste (adrak)
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp cumin seeds powder (jeera)
2 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tbsp cornflour
Salt to taste
1 tsp oil for cooking

Method
1. To make, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion
into 50 mm. (2”) diameter round flat tikkis.
3. Cook each tikki on a non-stick tava (griddle) using 1/8 tsp of oil
till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.
4. Serve immediately.
