Gosh, this is what I love so much about Southern cooking. So simple, so easy, so comforting. These hamburger steaks and gravy have always been one of my favorite childhood meals. There is just something so hearty about it. This is not a Salisbury steak recipe btw.You can certainly get all fancy and add in bell pepper, celery, garlic, potatoes, fresh herbs and a crap load of spices if you want but sometimes I just crave the simplicity of certain dishes and this is def. one of them. (Although I will be posting my amped up version soon!! : ) but today it’s just some classic, old fashioned eating! Fresh beef and onions, savory broth and simple seasonings.
