Dal Makhani is a dish from the Punjab region. The dish gets its richness from the use of cream or butter, but it can also be prepared with yogurt, milk or no dairy.

Ingredients:

dal makhani:
1 cup sabat urad dal
1 tbs channa dal
1 tbs rajma
1/3 tbs kali mirch
5-6 cloves
4-5 choti elaichi
1 badi elaichi
1 piece of dal chini
2 tez patta
salt to taste
2 tbs cooking oil
6 tomatoes for puree
100gm butter
grated ginger
1/2 tsp lal mirch
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 cup curd
2-4 green chilies
2 tbs cream

onion lachha paratha:
normal roti dough
2-3 chopped onion
1/4 tsp lal mirch
