Dal Palak Recipe, Palak Dal Recipe In Hindi, spinach dal tadka, Spinach and Lentil Curry, palak tomato dal,

Ingredients:
Spinach - 250 gms (finely chopped)
Soaked chana dal- ¼ cup (50 gms)
Soaked moong dal- ¼ cup (50 gms)
Tomatoes- 2 (200 gms)
Green chillies- 2
Ghee- 2 to 3 tbsp
Green coriander- 1 to 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Asafoetida- ½ pinch
Cumin seeds- ¾ tsp
Turmeric powder- ? tsp
Red chilli powder- ? tsp
Coriander Powder- 1 Tsp
Ginger paste- ¾ tsp
Gram masala- ¼ Tsp
Dry red chilli- 2
Salt- 1.25 tsp (to taste)

How to make the dal palak
1- Wash and soak the 1/4 cup of chana dal in water for 1 hour to prepare this dish.
2- Remove the excess water.
3- Put the chana dal in the pressure cooker to boil
4- Add the 1/4 cup of moong dal right after washing
5- Add 2 cups of water,1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of salt,
6- Close the lid and cook until the first whistle arrives.
7- Turn the flame to low after the first whistle and cook dal for 3 minutes.
8- Switch off the flame
9- For the masala mixture add 2 tbsp of ghee, 1/2 tsp of the cumin seeds, 1/2 pinch of asafoetida, 1/4 tsp of the turmeric powder, 1 tsp of the coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of the ginger paste,
10- Turn the flame to low for avoiding the spices from burning.
11- Stir and roast the spices slightly
12- Prepare the paste of 2 tomatoes and 2 green chillies.
13- Add paste to the masala mixture, 1/4 tsp of the red chilli powder.
14- Roast the spices until the ghee separates from it
15- Add the washed, finely chopped and the stalk removed spinach in the masala mixture.
16- Add 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of the garam masala, stir and cook them.
17- Keep the flame on medium
18- Add 1 cup of the water and leave it to boil.
19- Add and mix the dal in it and switch off the flame after the dal boils.
20- Add and mix the finely chopped coriander.
21- For the tempering, add and roast 1 tbsp of ghee, 1/4 tsp of the cumin seeds, 2 dry red chillies for 1 minute.
22- Switch off the flame and add the 1 pinch of red chilli powder to enhance the colour.
23- Spread the tempering over the dal and mix them slightly.
24- The delicious dal palak is ready to be served.

Serving:
1- You can serve it with chappati, parantha, naan or rice
2- This amount of dal is enough for the 3-4 members of the family.
