These crispy Dal Vadas are irresistible and makes for a perfect chai-time snack.DAL VADAIngredients1 cup Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked for 8-10 hours1 medium onion1 inch ginger piece12-15 curry leaves2 green chillies3 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leavesOil for deep fryingCoconut chutney to serveMethod1. Finely chop onion and ginger and set them aside. 2. Take a blender jar, add Bengal gram, curry leaves and green chillies and blend to a coarse paste. Scrape the sides of the blender jar in between. 3. Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add the chopped onion, chopped ginger and salt, 3 tbsps chopped coriander and mix well.4. Dampen your palms with water and flatten them slightly between your palms and set aside.5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.6.
