The combination of dates and walnuts makes this freshly baked cake extra special.DATE AND WALNUT CAKEIngredients ¼ cup seedless dates, chopped + for sprinkling ¼ cup walnuts, chopped + for sprinkling1 cup butter ¾ cup castor sugar 3 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla essence 1 cup refined flour + 2 tablespoons1 teaspoon baking powderSalt to taste ¼ cup milk Method 1. Cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy. 2. Break in 1 egg at a time and beat till well incorporated. 3. Add vanilla essence and beat again. Sieve in the refined flour along with baking powder. Fold with spatula4. Add walnuts and dates to a bowl, add 2 tablespoons flour and mix well. 5. Fold in the dry fruits mixture, add milk and mix well to form a lump free batter. 6. Pour the batter into a greased and flour dusted loaf tin, sprinkle dates and walnuts from top.7.
