Dhansaak hails from the Parsi cuisine and this Masala made with all the natural whole spices for you to make your dishes even more flavourful.DHANSAAK MASALAIngredients1 tbsp cumin seeds2 tbsps coriander seeds2 black cardamoms10-12 black peppercorns1 tsp dried fenugreek seeds (methi dana)10-12 cloves2-3 mace blades (javitri)2 bay leaves1 tbsp mustard seeds10 dried red chillies2 inch cinnamon stick½ tbsp turmeric powderMethod1. Heat a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black cardamoms, black peppercorns, dried fenugreek seeds, cloves, mace blades, bay leaves and mustard seeds and sauté for a few seconds.2. Add dried red chillies and cinnamon stick and dry roast till the spices are fragrant. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool slightly.3. Transfer the spices into a blender jar and add turmeric powder and blend to a fine powder.4. Store in an airtight container once the masala has cooled down completely.
