Enjoy a authentic Maharastrian breakfast with this delicious recipe.DHAPATEIngredients1 cup jowar flour½ cup rice flour¼ cup wheat flour¼ cup chickpea flour (besan) Salt to taste¼ tsp turmeric powder1 tbsp finely chopped garlic1 medium onion, finely chopped1½ tbsps green paste (2 green chillies 1 tsp jeera and a handful of coriander leaves paste)½ cup yogurt + for serving¼ cup chopped fresh coriander2 tsps oil + for drizzling4-5 zip lock bagsBanana leaf for platingMethod1. Add jowar flour, rice flour, wheat flour, chickpea flour, salt, turmeric powder, garlic, onion, green paste, yogurt and chopped coriander in a bowl. Mix well. Add little water, combine well and knead to soft dough.2. Divide the dough into equal portions. On a worktop, place a zip lock bag, drizzle oil over it to grease, take ball size dough, grease hand with water and flatten the dough by tapping it with little pressure from hands. Keep it thick.3. Heat a non-stick tawa, add flattened dough placing moistened face down, flip on another side drizzle oil on both sides and cook for 5-6 minutes over medium heat till golden brown specs appear. Drain on an absorbent paper.4. Transfer prepared dhapates on a banana leaf kept over serving plate.5.
