Dosa Waffles | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Dosa batter tempered with mild indian spices, spread into a waffle iron to make this interesting recipe. Must try !

DOSA WAFFLES

Ingredients

Dosa batter as required
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon chopped curry leaves
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add curry leaves, green chillies and onions, mix and sauté till onions turns translucent.
3. Add tomatoes and salt, mix well and cook till it turns soft and pulpy. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well and cook for a minute.
4. Add the cooked mixture to the dosa batter alongwith coriander leaves and salt and mix well.
5. Heat a waffle machine. Pour the batter, cover and cook till fully done.
6. Serve hot with green coconut chutney.
