This is a super simple cream cheese icing / frosting recipe that uses just three ingredients: cream cheese icing sugar and butter.
Ingredients:
110g (125 mL / 1⁄2 cup) butter, at room temperature
225g (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
250 to 375g (500 mL - 750 mL / 2 to 3 cups) icing / confectioners’ sugar

Method:
Beat together the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
While still beating, slowly add in the sugar.
Continue beating in sugar until you reach your desired level of sweet and consistency.

***Tips:
Add vanilla extract, or any extract flavour that matches your cake.
Add citrus zest.
Add spices that compliment any spices used in the cake.
