Ingredients:
To make the batter:
• 3/4 cup +2 tbsp all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup+1/8 cup sugar (powdered)
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp soda
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• 40 grams butter ( melted)
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp vinegar/ lemon juice
To make sugar syrup:
• 1 cup of water
• 2 tbsp sugar
For frosting:
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• Tinned red cherries (few chopped and reserve some for decoration)
• White chocolate flakes

How to make White forest cake:
1. First pre-heat the pressure cooker so for that put 2 cups of salt/sand into the pressure cooker, place a stand onto it and cover the lid of the pressure cooker. Let the salt heat for 8-10 minutes on medium-low flame. Meanwhile, let's prepare the cake batter.
2. To make batter put all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, soda in a bowl and mix it until well combined. The dry mixture is ready.
3. In another bowl put milk, vanilla essence and mix it well.
4. Put dry mixture into the bowl of wet ingredients and whisk it well till no lumps.
5. Now add melted butter, oil and mix in cut and fold method till mixture absorbs oil.
6. Lastly, add vinegar and mix it well.
7. The cake batter is ready.
8. Take 6-inch aluminum tin and grease it with oil/butter, dust the tin with all-purpose flour, and remove excess flour.
9. Now pour the prepared batter into the greased cake tin and tab it to spread the batter evenly.
10. Now put the cake tin inside the heated pressure cooker onto the stand, cover the lid, remove the whistle and let the cake bake for 35-40 minutes on medium-low flame.
11. Check the cake after 30 minutes, if it is unbaked then cook it for a further few minutes or till it's completely baked.
12. Once baked, uncovered the lid and take out the cake gently from the pressure cooker. Let the cake cool down for sometime before taking out from the cake tin.
13. Once cool, scratch the sides and take out the cake onto a plate.
14. Let the cake cool down completely before frosting.

To make sugar syrup:
1. Put water and sugar in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once boiled, switch off the flame and let the syrup cool down completely.
2. Sugar syrup is ready.

For frosting:
• Take whipping cream in a bowl and beat till it stiff peaks form.

To make white forest cake:
1. Take basic vanilla sponge cake and cut horizontally into 3 equal layers with the help of a serrated knife.
2. Take one layer of the cake and put it onto the cake base.
3. Soak the cake with sugar syrup all around with a brush or spoon to make it soft and moist.
4. Now put whipped cream over the moist cake and spread it evenly all around by using a palette knife or you can fill the cream in a piping bag and pipe out over the moist cake by rotating the turntable.
5. Put some chopped cherries over the layer of whipped cream.
6. Take the second layer of the cake and put it onto the layer of whipped cream.
7. Soak the second layer with sugar syrup, spread whipped cream, chopped cherries.
8. Clean the sides and put the last layer of the cake over the layer of whipped cream, soak with sugar syrup, and spread whipped cream on top and sides of the cake.
9. Smoothen the top with a palette knife and then sides with a scraper.

For pipping:
1. Put white whipped cream in a piping bag and make swirls all around. Put cherries on each swirl.
2. Cover the sides and top of the cake with white chocolate flakes.
3. Keep the cake in the fridge to get set.
4. White forest cake is ready to serve.
5. Cut into slices and serve.
