Take a parat and add gram flour, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and papad khar and crush carom seeds between your palms and add. Drizzle oil and mix well. 2. Add sufficient water and knead into soft dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside for 30 minutes. 3. Slightly knead the dough, take a portion of the dough and shape it into a cylinder, cut and divide into equal portions and shape them into oblong. 4. Grease the worktop with some oil, press and stretch into long strips. Scrape the bottom using a knife and pick it up from the worktop.5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, drop in the prepared fafdas and deep fry till crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. 6. Serve with fried green chillies, raw papaya salad and tea.
