FRENCH FRIES

Ingredients

3 large fries potatoes
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Peel potatoes and thickly slice them. Cut each slice into 2 inch fingers.
2. Boil water in a non-stick deep pan, add sufficient salt and add the cut potato fingers. Cook them till ¾ done. Drain on an absorbent paper. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
3. Gently transfer into a zip-lock bag, seal and freeze.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry the prepared potato fingers till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
5. Sprinkle salt on top of the French fries and gently mix. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
