A quick and simple starter made using squids.FRIED CALAMARIIngredients4-5 squids, cleaned and cut into ½ cm rings1 cup refined flour½ cup powdered cornflakes2-3 sprigs fresh thyme, chopped1 teaspoon paprika powder1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powderCrushed black pepper to tasteSalt to tasteTartar sauce Method 1. Heat oil to deep fry.2. Take refined flour in a bowl. Add ½ cup powdered cornflakes, 2-3 sprigs of thyme , 1 tsp paprika powder, 1teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well.3. Add the calamari and mix well to coat.4. Pass it through a sieve to dust off the excess flour.5. Deep fry in hot oil till the squids are golden brown in colour. Drain on absorbent paper.6.
