This classic Fried Pomfret recipe is the perfect dish for a nice and lazy afternoon lunch.FRIED POMFRETIngredient4 small whole pomfrets, cleaned6-7 garlic cloves 4 green chillies4tbsps roughly chopped coriander leaves4 tbsps scraped coconut4tsps tamarind pulp2tsps red chilli powder½ tsp turmeric powderSalt to tasteSemolina (Rawa) for coatingOil to shallow fryOnion rings for garnishLemon wedges for garnishMint sprig for garnishMethod1. Mix together coconut, coriander, garlic cloves,and greenchillies, add little water and grind to a fine paste.2. For the marination, in a bowl, add the prepared paste, tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder, salt. Mix well. 3. Add the pomfrets and apply the marination nicely on it. Set aside for 10minutes.4. Coat the fish in semolina (rawa). Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place marinated pomfrets, and cook on both sides till crisp and done.5.
