GAVRAN ZIRKAIngredients ¼ cup raw peanuts1 tbsp white sesame seeds6-8 garlic cloves1 inch ginger, roughly chopped2 tsps cumin seeds¼ cup grated dried coconut½ cup chopped fresh coriander leaves2 green chillies3 tbsps oil1 tsp mustard seeds¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)10-12 curry leaves1 small onion, finely choppedSalt to tasteSteamed rice to serveMethod1. Put raw peanuts in mixer jar, add white sesame seeds, garlic, ginger, 1 tsp cumin seeds, dried coconut, coriander leaves, green chillies and ¼ cup water and grind to a fine paste.2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add remaining cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let the seeds splutter. Add asafoetida and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.3. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add the ground paste and mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. 4. Add 2 cups water and salt and mix till well combined. Let the mixture come to a boil. 5.
