Gingerbread Christmas Tree | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Ginger bread man cookies made into the shape of christmas tree and baked.

GINGERBREAD CHRISTMAS TREE

Ingredients

175 grams refined flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon dried ginger powder
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons castor sugar
½ cup butter, melted
3-4 tablespoons golden syrup
Sprinklers for garnish
White chocolate, melted for garnish

Method

1. In a bowl add refined flour, baking soda, ginger powder, cardamom powder and castor sugar. Mix it well.
2. Add butter and mix using a spoon. Add golden syrup and mix with fingertips forming a dough.
3. Dust flour on worktop and flatten out the dough with the help of a rolling pin.
4. Cut out Christmas trees from the rolled dough with the help of a cookie cutter.
5. Transfer the cookies to a greased and dusted baking tray.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180˚ C
7. Garnish with white chocolate and sprinklers.
