Green Apple Salsa on Toast | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Delicious salsa made using tomatoes and green apple on a toasted baguette slice.
GREEN APPLE SALSA ON TOAST

Ingredients

1 medium green apple
1 French baguette
4 tbsps olive oil
1medium tomato, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
2 green chillies,chopped
2 tbsps lemon juice
Salt to taste
Crushed black pepper, to taste
Few fresh coriander sprigs, to garnish
Black olive slices, to garnish

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C.
2. Cut the French baguette into slices.
3. Grease a baking tray with 1 tbsp oil. Place French bread slices on it and drizzle remaining oil over them. Bake for 5-7 minutes.
4. Finely chop the green apple, transfer it in a bowl, add tomato, onion, coriander, green chilli, lemon juice, salt, crushed black pepper and 2 tbsp oil, mix well.
5. Place bread slices on a plate and add a spoonful of salsa on top.
6. Garnish each slice with coriander sprig and olive. Serve immediately.
