Green Chili Chicken Biryani is a super tasty and mouth-watering recipe, yet an easy one to prepare.
Flavored with Green Masala.

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice: 1 Kg
Chicken: 1 Kg
Green Chilies: 7 to 8 No's
Mint Leaves: 1 Cup
Coriander Leaves: 1 Cup
Salt: 3Tablespoons
Oil: 2 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds: 1 Teaspoon
Lemon Juice: 1 Tablespoon
Curd: 1/2 a Cup
Coriander Powder: 2 Teaspoons
Pepper Powder: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 a Teaspoon
Garam Masala: 1/4 Teaspoon
Caraway Seeds: 1 Teaspoon
Star Anise: 1 No
Bay Leaves: 3 No's
Cloves: 7 to 8 No's
Cinnamon: 2 to 3 small pieces
Cardamom: 4 No's
Ghee: 4 Tablespoons
Water: as required

Method of Preparation:

Take 7 yo 8 Green Chilies, 1 Cup of Mint & Coriander Leaves, and place them aside to make Green Masala.
Take 1 Kg Chicken cut into desired sized pieces, wash and keep it aside.
Will take 1 Kg Basmati Rice, wash and soak it 1/2 an hour prior to cooking.
Take 1/4 Kg Brown Onions ( cut into long pieces, fried till crisp and brown).
Now, will prepare Green Masala, to a mixie jar add 7 to 8 Green Chilies, 1 Cup of Mint & Coriander Leaves each.
Add 1 Tsp of Cumin Seeds & 1 Tsp of Salt as well, grind it into a fine paste with some water.
Will marinate the chicken now, add 1 Tbs of Lemon Juice, 2 Tbs salt mix well.
Add Green Masala, 2 Tsp of Coriander Powder, 1/2 a Tsp Pepper Powder, Turmeric each.
Then, add 1/2 the quantity f brown onions, 1 Cup of smooth Curd, mix them all thoroughly.
Adjust the taste accordingly, add 1 1/2 Tbs Oil, leftover Oil after frying onions brown.
Marinate the chicken for a Minimum a 1 Hour or more. The more we marinate the tastier it is.
Now will cook the soaked rice, take 3/4 water in a vessel.
Add 1 Tsp of Salt & oil each, 1 Tsp Caraway seeds, 3 Bay Leaves, 1 Star Anise.
Add 2 to3 pieces of Cinnamon 7 to 8 Cloves, 4 Cardamom, and bring it o a boil.
Tp the boiling water add rice and let it boil and cook on high flame.
Cook it until 70 % cooked. Check if it a bit hard to drain it on a sieve.
Take a thick bottomed vessel, add 1 1/ Tbs Ghee, and spread the marinated chicken.
Add Rice, spread it well, add 1 1/2 tbs of Ghee.
Layer it again with the remaining amount of rice, add 1 1/2 tbs of Ghee & the remaining brown onions.
Add some Mint Leaves & Coriander Leaves, place a heavy lid. or some weight on the lid.
Will steam/ Dum cook the Biryani now, if any outlet for steam to come out close it with the dough.
Place the Vessel on the stove and cook t on high flame for 5 Min.
Then, place it on a pan and place the pan on the stove with a high flame.
Low the flame and let it cook for 20 Min.
Put off the flame, let it sit for 5 Min, then open the lid.
Delicious and Tasty Green Chili Masala are ready.
