Grilled Chicken and Egg Sandwich | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Grilled chicken pieces along with boiled eggs and mayonnaise sandwiched between toasted breads.

GRILLED CHICKEN AND EGG SANDWICH

Ingredients

2 boneless chicken breasts
4 boiled eggs
8 triangle white bread slices, toasted
Salt to taste
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
1-2 fresh thyme sprigs
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons butter
2 teaspoons olive oil
Mayonnaise as required
Few iceberg lettuce leaves
2 medium tomatoes, cut into roundels
4 cheese slices
French fries for serving

Method

1. Put chicken breasts on a plate. Add salt, garlic, chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, thyme leaves and Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
2. Heat butter and olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the marinated chicken breasts and cook from both sides till golden brown.
3. Slice the grilled chicken breasts and boiled eggs.
4. To prepare one sandwich, apply some mayonnaise on one side of two bread slice.
5. Place 1-2 torn iceberg lettuce leaves, some grilled chicken slices, egg slices, 2-3 tomato roundels and one cheese slice on the mayonnaise side of bread slice, cover with another bread slice.
6. Serve.
