This Gujarati Puran Poli is exclusive because it is sweetened with jaggery and has zero sugar, delicious and healthy both!GUJARATI PURAN POLIIngredients1 cup Tata Sampann Organic Toor Dal½ cup jaggery, chopped½ tsp green cardamom powder1 tbsp ghee + for applyingWhole wheat flour for dustingOsaman to serveMethod1. In a large bowl, add Tata Sampann Organic Toor Dal and water, wash it a 2-3 times.2. Transfer the dal into a pressure cooker and add sufficient water. Cook till 3-4 whistles are released. Allow the pressure to be settled completely. Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool to room temperature.3. Heat a non-stick pan, add the cooked dal, jaggery and keep mixing it till the mixture comes together and jaggery melts completely.4. Add green cardamom powder, ghee and mix well. Take it off the heat and transfer into a bowl. Allow to cool to room temperature.5. Heat a non-stick tawa, meanwhile; take a portion of the dough. Shape it into a ball, dust with flour and slightly flatten it. Add a generous portion of the prepared stuffing in the middle, bring the sides to the centre and seal it.6. Roll it into small disc and place it on the hot tawa, cook for 1-2 minutes on each side. Drizzle ghee on both sides and cook till golden brown and crisp.7. Apply ghee on each puran poli and transfer on to a serving dish.
