Gulabi Jamun | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Gulab Jamun is a classic Indian sweet without which festivities are incomplete. This dish is at the heart of the Indian food scene!

GULABI JAMUN

Ingredients

A few rose petals
25-30 small gulab jamuns
1½ cups orange juice
1 small yellow marigold
Melted chocolate, as required

Method

1. Pour orange juice in a non-stick pan and heat. Add gulab jamuns and cook for a while.
2. Break a few petals from the marigold and add to the pan and cook till the flavours mingle and the orange juice reduces.
3. To serve take a flat plate. Dip a narrow paint brush in the melted chocolate and apply it in the centre of the serving plate almost through its entire length.
4. Put the gulab jamuns in a bowl and let them cool. Place them on either side of the chocolate strip.
5. Place a few marigold petals on a few gulab jamuns. Sprinkle a few rose petals and serve.
