High Fibre Chutney

Dietary fibre is very important for good digestion. It also keeps you full for longer, thereby preventing unnecessary snacking. The main source of fibre in this High Fibre Chutney is the green peas, which is supplemented in flavour and texture by coriander. Garlic, lemon and a wee bit of sugar are added to perk up its flavours.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Makes 0.75 cup

Ingredients

1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup boiled green peas
1 tbsp roughly chopped green chillies
1 inch piece ginger
1 to 2 garlic (lehsun) cloves , roughly chopped
2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste

Method
1 .Combine all the ingredients in a blender and grind to a fine paste using little water.
2. Refrigerate in an air-tight container and use as required.
