Hing Mango Pickle | Family Food Tales with Mrs Alyona Kapoor | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

HING MANGO PICKLE

Ingredients

1 kg raw mangoes, peeled and cut into cubes
20 grams asafoetida (hing)
250 grams salt
125 grams Kashmiri red chilli powder

Method

1. Put mango cubes in a bowl.
2. Crush together salt, asafoetida and chilli powder in a mortar with a pestle. Add this to the mangoes and mix well.
3. Transfer in an airtight jar and set aside till the mangoes leave out moisture.
4. Serve.
