Hot & Crispy Banana Chips - Onam Special Item No 1 | Indian Mom's Kitchen

Many of you may be wondering whether Banana Chips can be made at home. Once you see this video you will think twice before buying it from out. Yes, fresh, hot and crispy Banana Chips can easily be made at home at a fraction of the cost that you have been paying all this while.

Ingredients:

1 Kg Raw Kerala Bananas
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Turmeric
Oil for frying

Method: Peel raw Kerala Bananas after applying a little oil to your palms to prevent staining. Heat Oil in a pan and slice the peeled bananas directly into the hot Oil using a slicer. Let the Banana slices fry on medium flame till crisp. When crisp, you can hear a crackling sound. In a small bowl take a little water and add 1 tsp Salt and 1/2 tsp Turmeric and mix well. Next, sprinkle a little of this water on the crispy Banana chips frying in oil. Mix well and then remove Banana Chips from Oil into a serrated vessel for Oil to drain. Hot & Crispy Bana Chips are ready to enjoy.
