How to Make A Homemade Lemonade Recipe The Stay At Home Chef

It's easy to make homemade lemonade! Learn how to make lemonade: old fashioned, freshly squeezed homemade lemonade recipe using real lemons.

Ingredients

5 lbs lemons
2 cups water
2 cups sugar*


Instructions

00:00:18 - How to make simple syrup
00:01:37 - How to juice lemons
00:03:36 - How to add fruit to your lemonade

1 00:01:27 - Cut lemons in half. Juice each lemon through a strainer into a large measuring cup. Keep juicing until you have 2 cups of lemon juice.

2 00:00:18 - Pour water into a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in sugar. Continue cooking over heat until sugar is dissolved and liquid looks clear again.

3 00:02:36 - Combine sugar solution with lemon juice. This is a lemonade concentrate. When ready to serve, add water to taste.

Notes:
The lemonade concentrate can be frozen for later use. Just pour it into a gallon-sized ziploc bag and lay flat in the freezer. When ready to serve, thaw, and add water to taste.

*For lemonade using honey in place of sugar, simply replace the sugar with 2 cups of honey. For sugar-free lemonade, replace the sugar in this recipe with 1/4 cup stevia powder.
