How to make a Juicy Rib Eye Steak with Chimichurri sauce

My favorite way to prepare Rib Eye Steak is a good pan sear.

First, make sure you remove your Rib Eye out of the fridge for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Generously season your steak. This will create a delicious crust.

Add a little oil to your pan and add some fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme. You can also add a few garlic cloves and keep them in their skin. You'll want to remove these ingredients after a few minutes so they don't burn.

Add your Rib Eye steak to the pan. Hear that? That's the sound of perfection in the making.

Flip only once and keep on each side about 4-5 minutes for medium rare/medium depending on the thickness of your steak.

Once you are on the second side, add a knob of butter and continue to baste butter with spoon over the top of your steak. This is when I add my herbs and garlic back into the pan.

Remove Rib Eye and let it rest for about 10 minutes. This will prevent it from losing all that spectacular juice.

Serve with your favorite side like sweet potato wedges:

and top it off with flavored butter, sauces or an herbaceous "chimichurri" sauce:

One bite of this juicy Rib Eye steak with a cold beer will bring a smile to your face.
