Cabbage Pakoda

Ingredient Quantity
Cabbage 1 no. (Small)
Vinegar 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Carom seeds ½ tsp
Green chilies chopped 2-3 no.
Red chili powder ½ tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Gram flour (besan) 1 cup
Oil for deep frying

Method:
1. Cut the cabbage to thinly shredded. Put them in mixing bowl.
2. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, carom seeds, green chili chopped, red chili powder, turmeric powder, mix well and keep it aside for 10 min.
3. Add besan, mix well.
4. Add little water and mix well.
5. Heat oil in a pot, when the oil is just hot enough, drop small portions of this mixture to the hot oil and fry till half done.
6. Drain on absorbent paper. And press the pakoras with the help of tissue paper.
7. Reheat the oil and fry the pakoras again till golden and crisp.
8. Drain on absorbent paper.
9. Serve hot with your favourite chutney.
