Dry roast Bengal gram and black gram, one by one, till browned. Remove from heat and set aside. 2. In the same pan, dry roast cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and dried red chillies till fragrant. 3. Grind roasted spices together to a coarse powder. 4. Use as required.
