I made a 2-Ingredient vs. 20-Ingredient DOUGHNUT recipe | Raphael Gomes

For this week's 2-Ingredient vs. 20-Ingredient recipe series I decided to make DONUTS. One of my all time favourites. I can honestly say that I was impressed, pleased and disappointed at the same time. I hope you like it and don't forget to subscribe for more episodes, thank you!

RECIPES

2-Ingredient Donut Recipe (makes 6):
- 180g self-raising flour
- 190g yoghurt (sweetened or flavoured)
1. combine ingredients in mixing bowl
2. use donut cutters on floured surface or donut baking tray
3. deep fry in hot oil til golden or bake at 180 celsius for 15 minutes
4. roll in sugar or cover in icing (optional)

20-Ingredient Donut Recipe (makes 6):
- 90ml milk
- 1/2tbs vinegar
- 105g plain flour
- 105g almond flour
- 10g coconut flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1/2tsp baking soda
- 1/2tsp salt
- 1/2tsp nutmeg
- 1/2tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 50g white sugar
- 25g brown sugar
- 1/2 tbs butter melted
- 1/2 tbs lard melted
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2tsp almond extract
- spray cooking oil
- caster sugar for coating
- 1litre vegetable oil (frying option)
1. combine vinegar + milk and set aside
2. in a bowl combine plain flour, almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon
3. in a larger bowl whisk the egg, vinegar milk mixture, white sugar, brown sugar, butter + lard, vanilla extract & almond extract
4. mix the dry mixture into liquid mixture a bit at a time
5. use doughnut cutter on floured surface or donut tray and spray cooking oil instead
6. deep fry 2 minutes each side or bake at 180 celsius for 15 minutes
7. roll in sugar or cover in icing after it cools down a little
