Deep fried idli pieces tempered with spices to make this easy and quick recipe to snack on to.IDLI FRYIngredients8-10 idlis, cut into cubesCornflour for dusting1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying1 teaspoon mustard seeds2-3 dried red chillies, broken2 sprigs curry leaves½ teaspoon split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)½ teaspoon split Bengal gram (chana dal)¼ teaspoon asafoetida (hing)1 tablespoon molagapodiSalt to tasteMethod1. Take idli cubes in a bowl, add some cornflour and mix. 2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. And deep-fry till light golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. 4. Add red chillies, curry leaves, black gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, molagapodi, some water and salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. 5. Add fried idli pieces and toss well.
