IMLI TILWALE RICEIngredients3 cups cooked rice2 tbsps tamarind pulp2 tbsps oil½ tsp mustard seeds½ tsp Bengal gram (chana dal)½ tsp split skinless black gram (urad dal)A pinch of asafoetida8-10 curry leaves2 dried red chillies1 green chilli, choppedSalt to taste½ tsp turmeric powder½ cup roasted peanuts, peeled1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds + for garnishSprig of coriander for garnishMethod1. Heat oil in a non-stick wok, add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, and saute till the colour changes.2. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, break dried red chillies and add to the wok. Add green chilli and mix well.3. Add tamarind pulp, 2-3 tbsps water and mix well. Add salt, turmeric powder, roasted peanuts, sesame seeds and mix well.4. Add rice, mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.5. Garnish with sesame seeds and a sprig of coriander.
