Mung Daal Halwa Recipe


Ingredients:
Mung daal (yellow lentil) 1 cup
Desi ghee 1 cup
Milk 4 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Yellow food color 1/2 tsp
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Almonds (chopped) as required
Raisins as required
Pistachios (chopped) as required
Silver paper as required

Directions:
1. In a grinder add yellow lentil and grind it well.
2. In a deep pan heat desi ghee and add ground lentil. Cook for 3-4 mins.
3. Add milk and cook for 10-15 mins or until thickens.
4. Add sugar, yellow food color, cardamom powder and cook until halwa starts separating from the pan.
5. Now garnish it with chopped nuts and silver paper. Your Mung Daal Halwa is ready. Serve and enjoy.
