INGREDIENTS
1. Raw Coconut Pieces - 1/2 Cup
2. Roasted Dal - 1/2 Cup
3. Curry Leaves - 1/2 Cup
4. Dried Chillies - 6
5. Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
6. Garlic Cloves - 7-8
7. Tamarind - 20 Grams
8. Salt - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
9. Tempering Seeds

This mix could be used up to 1 month if put in fridge.
Heat pan and fry dried chillies. As dried chillies start to change colour, add washed & dried curry leaves and fry. Let the mixture cool down. To a mixie jar, add 1/2 cup roasted dal, 1/2 cup raw coconut, 7-8 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, fried dried chillies and curry leaves, 20 grams tamarind, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and grind it into a powder. Move this into a bowl. Letís prepare tempering now. To a pan, add 2 teaspoons oil and heat it. Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon black gram, 1 teaspoon bengal gram and fry. As the grams start to change colour, add piece of 2 dried chillies. Add curry leaves and fry. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix. Ad this tempering to the prepared coconut powder. This mix could be used up to 1 month if put in fridge. Store it in an air tight container.
Take required amount of powder and add water till a chutney consistency is obtained. Serve with dosa or idly.
