Italian Chaat In Gujarati | Snacky Ideas by Amisha Doshi | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Italian Papadi Pizza Chaat is a desi-Italian fusion delight. Chaat papadis are topped with cheese, red pasta, olives and Jalapenos and baked.

ITALIAN CHAAT

Ingredients

16-20 paani puri puris
1½ cups fresh tomato puree
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
10-12 fresh basil leaves
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon finely chopped babycorn
1 tablespoon finely chopped zucchini
1 tablespoon finely chopped red bell capsicum
1 tablespoon finely chopped green capsicum
1 tablespoon finely chopped yellow capsicum
Grated processed cheese for sprinkling

Method

1. To make sauce, heat tomato puree in a deep non-stick pan and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add ketchup and mix well.
2. Add ½ teaspoon chilli flakes, ½ teaspoon oregano, 5-6 basil leaves, salt, sugar and 1 teaspoon olive oil and mix well. Remove from heat and cool.
3. Heat remaining olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add babycorn, zucchini, all the capsicums, and sauté for 1 minute.
4. Add salt, remaining oregano, remaining basil leaves and remaining chilli flakes and mix well. Remove from heat and cool.
5. Fill each puri with a portion of the prepared vegetable mixture and top with some prepared sauce. Sprinkle cheese on each and top with some more sauce.
6. Serve immediately.
