Jackfruit pieces cooked in spicy onion tomato gravy. A must try !JACKFRUIT CURRYIngredients250 gms tinned jackfruit pieces3 tbsps oil + to deep fry¼ cup chopped onions1 black cardamom, seeds separated4-5 dried red chillies, broken¾ tsp roasted cumin powder½ tsp garam masala powder2 tsps coriander powder½ tsp Mexican chilli powder½ tsp red chilli powder¼ tsp turmeric powder1 cup tomato pureeSalt to tasteMethod1. Drain the jackfruit pieces and deep fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.2. Heat 3 tbsps oil in another pan, add onions and saute till well browned.3. Add black cardamom seeds and red chillies and continue to saute for 2 minutes.4. Add roasted cumin powder and garam masala powder and saute for 1 minute5. Add coriander powder, Mexican chilli powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well.6. Add tomato paste or tomato puree and mix well. Saute till oil begins to separate. Add salt and mix. 7. Add fried jackfruit pieces and mix well. Ideally keep the curry for 1 day so that the jack fruit pieces soak in the masala well. 8.
