Dry roast cumin seeds till fragrant and crush coarsely in a mortar with a pestle. 2. Add salt, asafoetida, black salt and sugar and crush. Add ginger, mint leaves, coriander leaves and tamarind pulp and crush again. 3. Halve lemons. 4. Put some cumin mixture into individual tall glasses. Squeeze in juice from lemon halves, add 2-3 lemon slices and some ice cubes. 5. Top with drinking soda, stir and serve immediately.
