A simple snack you can make with ingredients easily available at home. Ideal to satiate your evening hunger pangs. KANDA WADIIngredients1 tbsp oil + for greasing + for shallow frying¼ tsp carom seeds (ajwain)2-3 green chillies, chopped3 large onions, finely chopped½ tsp turmeric powderSalt to taste¼ tsp red chilli powderA pinch of coriander powder¼ tsp cumin powder¾ cup gram flour (besan)2 tbsps rice flour2 tbsps finely chopped coriander leaves2 tbsps Tata Sampann Kasuri MethiMethod 1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add ajwain, green chillies, onions and sauté till translucent. 2. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.3. Add besan, rice flour and chopped coriander, mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.4. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.5. Add Tata Sampann Kasuri Methi and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat.6. Grease a barfi tray with oil and add the prepared mixture into it and spread it evenly. Set aside to cool completely.7. Cut it into squares and gently demould them.8. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick shallow pan, place the prepared wadis on it and shallow fry till golden and crisp on both sides.
